ABOUT US

Founded in 2010, NEU4J stands for New England United 4 Justice. We have a strong grassroots organizing model that centers the leadership and voice of low-income residents in Greater Boston and in neighborhoods across Massachusetts. We engage and empower families to speak up and become part of the solution to improve city and state focused on worker rights, childcare, housing, and voter protections and engagement.

OUR MISSION

NEU4J believes that social change happens when those most impacted by issues of systemic injustice, organize at the block level to address issues within their neighborhoods. Through their involvement at a community level, residents engage in direct city and regional organizing efforts that allow resident leaders to participate in strategy efforts that drive small and large campaign efforts that have an impact on a City and Statewide agenda, led by the community.

OUR VISION

We’re intentional about who we building partnerships with. We’re rooted in a clear, integrated analysis of race, class, and gender justice. We aim to challenge the systems of oppression by building a united front for liberation.

OUR VALUES

We are one voice, one organization. NEU4J supports speaking your own truth and using your voice to help those in need. We believe in organizing a power-building strategy that amplifies the voice of those impacted by social, economic, and racial justice issues.

OUR TEAM

We live in the neighborhoods we’re fighting for. NEU4J is a multicultural and intergenerational collective of individuals who come together with the shared goal to improve social, economic, and racial justice issues. We have full-time staff members and volunteers. Our decisions are made collectively with the many organizations we collaborate with to carry out our work.
